Mobilization and recruitment of members into active roles of community affairs and affordable housing is the central charge of the Committee with the goal of growing camaraderie while building the community.

Get Involved!

The Community Relations Committee (CRC) spearheads CFR’s social responsibility efforts through community contribution projects such as our partnership with Habitat for Humanity, annual REALTOR® Action Day and our year-end food drive, Feed ILM, just to name a few. Our leadership and members know the of the most valuable benefits to their membership is volunteerism and participation in association and community events. Not only are you giving back to your community, you’re getting returns in referrals, clients and exposure.

Current Initiatives

 

Feed ILM

A continuous effort to collect food for those who experience food insecurity in our community through canned donation at all non-CE events, including a crescendo event at Christmas time. Over 20 Cape Fear REALTORS® members, staff, and partners unloaded 8,000 pounds of non-perishable food last year at Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard. The event was the culmination of the annual, year-long Feed ILM campaign during which REALTORS® collected money and food donations to benefit the local food pantry. 

2021

REALTOR® Action Day

Every year, REALTORS® take part in a successful regional day of community service across the Wilmington area.  A one-day event mobilizing the entire membership to community affairs activities for a dramatic impact and to build esprit de corps.
