The members of Cape Fear REALTORS® and the Wilmington REALTORS® Foundation are constantly seeking new ways to build and strengthen our local community. One exciting example of this focus on making our community stronger is a project that we have been working on for a long time: a new town home community that will soon be constructed off Carolina Beach Road.
On the surface, the topic of Fair Housing seems relatively simple. For those who call themselves REALTORS®, fair housing is an important set of guidelines, rights and penalties. It’s also important to point out that fair housing is always a part of continuing education requirements.
Even in a challenging environment where the inventory of homes for sale is low, the American Dream of homeownership is alive and real. The talented and knowledgeable REALTORS® of our community are working harder than ever to transform their clients’ dreams of home ownership into reality.
With the uptick in interest rates and the rapid appreciation the real estate market has witnessed over the past three to five years, the goal of owning a home has become more complicated to navigate.
As Fair Housing Month draws to a close, it is worthwhile to mention that this is an issue with vast implications, making it something deserving of continued emphasis year-round.
